Youth Outloud has served the community since April 2008. Our mission is to give the GLBTQ Youth between the ages of 15-19 years of age a safe and confidential environment that allows the youth to be who they are and to help them make friends with other GLBTQ Youth in the surrounding Midlands area. We promote open discussion and encourage the youth to create open dialoge between themselves so they may share experiences and make ties of friendship with other GLBTQ Youth.
How can you help Youth Outloud?
Youth Outloud is a non-profit organization and depends on the charity of the community. At the present we are applying for grants. Check out the Donate page to figure out how your small donation will turn into double!
Check out our Resource Center. It has links to lots of sites for youth related topics and help.
The rate at which students use and hear negative language about lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) people is huge. Over half of all students report hearing homophobic remarks often at school.
Every day the It Gets Better Project shares positive messages of support with LGBT youth. Please take a moment to watch this video about the Project, check out our Action Center below and add your voice to the movement.
Youth Outloud is a group supported and sponsored by the Harriet Hancock Center.
